WIM Garage is a digital platform for U.S. car owners to organize vehicle records, track service history, set maintenance reminders and request written remote reviews from technicians.
Is my free account really free for life?
Yes. Your Garage Free account is free for life, with no subscription required for vehicle details, service logs, files and reminders. Paid technician services and the optional Plus membership are separate purchases.
How much does a Car Check cost?
Technician service requests start at $39 USD. The quote can be higher depending on the written scope. You review and confirm the total before payment. Active Plus members receive 30% off the quoted service price.
Who reviews my Car Check request?
An ASE-certified technician manually reviews the information you submit and prepares a written report. WIM Garage does not use AI assessments and does not offer video consultations.
Can a technician identify the issue and the parts I need?
A technician can review symptoms, fault codes and supporting files to explain possible issues, suggest further checks and identify relevant part options when evidence supports them. A remote review cannot guarantee a diagnosis or part fitment. Local testing and vehicle-specific verification may be needed before buying or replacing parts.
What does Plus include?
Plus costs $49 USD per year and gives active members 30% off quoted technician service requests. A standard $39 request costs $27.30 with Plus. Service payments are separate from the membership fee, and membership does not include free reviews.
Does Car Check replace a physical inspection?
No. Car Check is a written remote review of submitted information. It does not include a physical inspection, certify that a vehicle is safe to drive or guarantee a repair outcome. For urgent safety concerns, seek local assistance.
How long will a technician review take?
There is no guaranteed turnaround time. Confirm availability and the required response time with WIM Products before paying for a request.
How do email reminders and password resets work?
To receive maintenance reminders, enable email reminders in Settings and confirm your email address. For a forgotten password, choose Forgot password on the sign-in form. A single-use email link expires after 30 minutes; resetting your password signs out all existing sessions.
Can I cancel my Plus membership?
Yes. Sign in, open Membership and select Manage billing to manage your subscription or cancel renewal. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current billing period. Contact WIM Products for payment or refund questions.
